Proposal! ;)

So I know you are all dieing to hear the proposal story, and I’m sorry that it has taken me SO long to finally take the time to write it down! So this is how the magic happened! ;)

Alijandro and I had talked about seeing each other for Christmas, knowing my Grandparents would be here and the only time before the wedding that they could meet him. However, he was in college studying and had exams right after Christmas that he needed to study for and also it was his first Christmas back from his mission with his Family. So I definitely understood, and knowing that the day was set to March 17th and that we would have many Christmases while actually being married I was okay with him missing that, New Years and my Birthday. Yes, I am very forgiving and understanding :P. So Christmas day I called the Man of my dreams to ask him how his day went and wish him a Merry Christmas. My mom decided to take the phone and ask Alijandro if he would fly in just for the weekend of my Birthday, and said that if he loved me he would!!! But that was all that was said or heard. The next day, Sunday. We came home from church, started to watch a movie, and as most of you know, Kylee can NOT stay awake to save her life in ANY movie. So of course, she fell asleep on the couch. When I woke up, mom told me that She and Dad had put together a scavenger hunt for us, Jaden and I were on a team, and Tanner and Chase, But only Jaden and I would be going tonight since it was so late and we had to take the Metro and Bus, SCARY.  Mom left early and told us that we weren’t able to leave/start until she called and told us it was okay to leave.
The Scavenger hunt started  with a bag full of food and 4 letters. The first letter told us where to go and we needed to go to the Moncloa metro station. Mom took the car so Dad had to take Jaden and I individually to the metro station one by one, where we opened our second letter that told us (Jaden and I) to go to Gran Via and sing a Christmas song to the locals. Mind you this is a huge city… and NOONE was around. Probably because it was the day after Christmas, Sunday, and Vacation time. So I stood on a street fence, and sang Feliz Navidad to Jaden while he filmed me, and to some random guy who walked by! As we were about to open the second letter mom called wondering where we were. The next letter told us that we needed to go to Puerta del Sol inorder to find a homeless person who could use the bag of goodies my mom put together that we had to carry. As we later found out, we walked down the wrong street, trying to look for a homeless man. On our way back up the street, mom called again, wondering where we were and what we were near. That’s when I figured out she was part of the scavenger hunt and she was in Sol as well. No biggie to me though. I was bound to find someone and give them the food, but there wasn’t a hobo to be found. Haha. We say a group of Spaniards crowded around the  metro station. We were going to ask but I decided not to, and as soon as I looked away, I saw a huge box near a water fountain that was wrapped in Christmas paper! My initial thought was, “Awe how sweet.” Second take, “Who’s name is on….” “MINE! It’s a TV!” I picked up the piece of paper with my name on it, wondering if there was anything on the back, which I found there wasn’t. So then I called mom asking if I could open the box in which she said yes, and told me to tell jaden to scoot back,. That’s when I began looking for her and found her trying to hide herself behind the metro sign near the group of people. I read the last  to Jaden who was filming it all and then proceeded to the box. I was skeptical of it telling myself that if something popped out I would scream, and hoped that Alijandro was inside, but not so sure. As I tried to open the box, the topped caved in a little bit, and I was a littler nervous that something might jump out, but I was hoping for it at the same time. When I finally pulled off the top, the first thing I saw was the Man of my Dreams. I threw the box, screamed, turned in circles with my hands on my face and then I kissed him!!! He got out of the box and then led me to stand on the seat part of the water fountain. He then pulled out a square wrapped box and asked me to open it. I was already nervous because he was there, that I was shaking and couldn’t get the box open. When I finally did, he took the box back, pulled out a card, and got down on one knee!!!! He began to read the card, talking about the two years he wrote me and knowing I was the woman he was going to marry, how much he loves me, and loves that I can love him without being told how, and that he love’s me and wants to be with my for ever. And then asked “Kylee Brianne Wilstead, Will you marry me?!!!” As he opened the ring box, I couldn’t believe it, all the Spaniards who were standing around were waiting this whole time to see such an amazing proposal, but what I really couldn’t believe was how beautiful the ring was and what an amazing person I was committing to! Well of course you guys, we kissed, teared up, hugged, still shaking, and then kissed some more! I ran over to my mom right after to show her the ring! Alijandro and I were left a lone for a minute to sit and talk and just be happy to see each other, and to have an “OFFICIAL” Fiance! Haha. As we were walking back to the car, it hit me… HE WOULD BE THERE FOR MY ENDOWMENT! Oh how marvelous and heart warming that was to know. ;)
When we got home, Grandma and Grandpa were awaiting our arrival, so there were there to open the door and meet Alijandro. I called the boys, Tanner, Chase and Clint. As they turned the corner to come up the stairs, I bent down, showed them the ring and said “LOOK!” They were a little confused but happy for me, until they saw Alijandro and were super excited and finally understood why I would have a ring! My dad took a few pictures of us, our first “Engaged” pictures, and of the ring!! We then exchanged Christmas presents, in which Alijandro did amazing, and bought even my Grandparents and Uncle gifts! Oh how I love him! As soon as everything began to whined down, we put in a movie, Alijandro and I cuddled and of course, fell asleep!! Haha. A cute ending to one of the most AMAZING days of my life!

I love him so much and am super excited to marry him!!!
(I hope you all like the engagment pictures! There are more to come when Alijandro's part of the story is written!)
